Running a run configuration in the Terminal Window

I would have liked to be able to run a Run Configuration from the terminal.

My use case is that I would have liked to be able to run a configuration but also e.g. pipe the output or input.

So I would imagine that it would be convenient to have a command like

runideaconfig [id] | sort

I haven't been able to find something that I could somehow use to achieve this.

Is there some feature that I could have used to help me achieve something similar to the above?
