Detached editor window with hidden tabs

Is there a way to have a detached editor window and hide tabs at the same time? Right now (2017.3) when you have detached editor window and set tabs position as hidden - the detached editor closes itself. Having multiple displays, it's awesome to have more than one editor window, even with split editor.
