Android sdk for intelli J 2016.1.4 rendering problems

Hi, I wish to load a basic test of the android design using IntelliJ IDEA. I have version 2016.1.4 released 2nd August 2016 and have the AP! 25:Android 7.1.1.But I only get an error message: This version of the rendering library is more recent than your version of IntelliJ IDEA. Please update IntelliJ IDEA. Please what API do I need to fix my issues?

Try 23 or 24. For the latest API support use the current IntelliJ IDEA version or Android Studio.
