Intellij Ultimate stuck while indexing

v2017.2.3

It happened after I installed .ignore plugin

now everytime I open intellij it freezes.

• I manually deleted the cache
• uninstalled and installed again
• even with totally deleting the intellij folders from .Library/Cache

still I get the same problem.

Should I install earlier version and from inside update the new one?
