No more typing in Intellij

I am working with Intellij daily. It is also used to make and test Cucumbertests. When I'm writing features it frequently happens that I can't type anymore. The words I try to type don's show up in my feature.

Copy, paste and delete works, but the letters etc aren't accepted.

The only solution is to restart Intellij.

Has anyone an idea how to solve this problem? It happens very frequently when I'm making Cucumber features
