PhpStorm 2023.2 crashes on startup - macOS Monterey

After installing PhPStorm 2023.3 update, the app crashes upon startup with an "internal error" splash screen:

Does it crash on every launch or it happens occasionally?
Would it be possible to share crash logs?
These are usually generated in the user home directory as java_error_in_phpstorm_*.log files.
Problem solved. There was an old version of PhpStorm (2020.3) still on disk, and that was getting launched in place of the new version (2023.2).
