iPython console output garbled (color scheme not interpreted correctly?)

PyCharm 2016.3 EAP (but also 2016.2.3 stable version) running on Windows 10 connecting to remote linux host with iPython 5.1.0 gives following output:
As you can see, instead of Out[3]: 1 it prints some additional info, which seems to be related to color scheme - which I have no experience with. I tried to change color palette settings in PyCharm Settings but it didn't help.
I am not sure how to debug this or even correctly Google.
