"Find in Path" Color for Duplicate Class Name
Answered
So, I just upgraded from 2016.1 to 2016.3 and someone managed to mess up a color setting for Darcula. When you perform a "Find in Path", on the right hand column is the class/file name. If there are multiple hits in a single class, the second thru nth iteration of a class name is a color that makes the text hardly legible. Yet, I can't find in the Settings which color setting relates to this so I can change it.
Anyone have a clue on this? Minor annoyance, I know. But, still an annoyance I'd like to resolve.
Thanks,
Ron

It appears to be by design to show that the usage was found in the same file, so that its name doesn't distract you.
If you feel that the color should be changed, please submit a request at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/IDEA describing the use case why you would need to clearly see the duplicated file name.
I just want to know which color setting will change it so I can customize the Darcula theme. Or, if that's not possible, can I change the "Find in Path" background color so the foreground color contrasts better?
These colors are not configurable and are hardcoded inside the theme.
On second reading of your post:
"describing the use case why you would need to clearly see the duplicated file name."
Really? I need to justify why text should be legible? If JB isn't going to make it legible, why show it at all?
Sorry, as I said, it's hardcoded.
I'll ping the responsible developer so that he can revise the default color choice to be more visible on dark background.
