from 9.0.4 to 10.0.2 back and forward button bug

hi,
in 9.0.4 there was a nice feature that enabled moving back and forward inside each split window.
in other words : split window, open different files in each window. switch back to first split window and move cursor to random position in the file then hit back button. you will be taken to previous position inside current split window

now (ver 10.0.2) cursor is moved to selection/ position in other split window no mater how many moves I made in current window. that drives me crazy and I cannot figure out how to get that behavior.
