2017.3.3 (173.4301.25 ) Ultimate BROKE Database Integration

I just took the most current prod release of 2017.3.3, and Database Integration is now broken. The Database Tools and SQL plugin is now disabled and can't be re-enabled.

What happens when I attempt to enable the plugin:
Reinstalled a fresh copy of the same release to a new location on disk. On starting from this location I was able to re-enable the plugin. Is the lesson here not to accept auto-updates? Nothing like this has happened to me before, and I've been using Intellij Idea for many years.
