Trouble with LiveReload

I'm trying to get LiveReload for my Spring Boot web project to work. I've done the following:
In the project registry, I checked "compile.automake.allow.when.app.running" and re-started Intellij
Downloaded and added the Spring Boot Devtools dependency.
Added the LIveReload extension to Safari
When I run my app, and access it via Safari, I don't see any changes to HTML files when I save them. I also noticed that I can no longer find the "automake.allow.when.app.running" property in the project registry. It is gone.
