could not connect to SFTP server on macOS
using the latest phpstorm 2017.3.4 on the latest macOS: High Sierra 10.13.3
connect to remote server SFTP with username and password
getting the error: could not connect to SFTP server at "sftp://..."

There is no way to say what is causing it from such log.
Collect detailed log -- it should give more details/hints: How-to: Collecting PhpStorm/WebStorm debug Logs
