The Accept button on the user license agreement upon download is perpetually greyed out. This is very annoying. How do I accept the terms??

Hi, have you scrolled license text to the bottom?
This annoyed me also. There could be a notification of the need to scroll the licence text to the bottom. This need is not common for applications. Furthermore it would be nice when the choice is stored so that you do not have to repeat the acceptance each time one starts the ide.
You don't have to repeat it. It's stored in the Java Registry. If you get it on every start, there is some issue with the permissions on your system and IDE cannot store the setting.
Same thing is happening to me: I have to accept the User License Agreement every time I start up the application. Could you point me to where I can find the Java Registry to validate the permissions?

Yes, of course. I'm running IntelliJ 2018.2 on a macOS High Sierra 10.13.6
Initially, when I first ran IntelliJ, I did not have any JDK installed. I then proceed to install JDK 10 to see if that was the issue, but I still have to re-accept the agreement every time.

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.java.util.prefs.plist (in you user's home directory). Try removing this file or ensure it has write permissions.
When I had Oracle JDK 10 as my only java installation, the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.java.util.prefs.plist did not exist, I did double check. I then removed JDK 10 and installed Oracle JDK 9 and the file is now present and I no longer have to accept the User License Agreement.

software and the JB account. Please log in to your JetBrains account using this email address and password in order to reach your subscription here https://account.jetbrains.com/login. After downloading the tool, please activate it with the option JB account also using your email address and password.
