Why can't I see any files and folders when I click File->Open?

When I click File->Open to open my projects, the file explorer seems to have no permissions.
And, if I use root user to open IDEA, the files can be shown. But before I am not root user, it's no problem, today unexpectedly comes the bug.
PS: I have ran "chmod 777" for idea.sh and all other related files, but it's not working.

What are the permissions in your home directory and in the root of the drive?
I'm running into the very same issue. Does anyone know how to solve this?
