IntelliJ Webp preview

It looks like IntelliJ cannot open webp images, or this functionality is broken for me.
2018.1.4 Community Edition on MacOs 10.13.6
If IntelliJ does not support webp images, please add this support,
And if it is broken for me, please advice on how I can fix this.

Hi. Does the problem reproduce on 2018.2.1?
Just checked - yes, it reproduces. Was it working before? Also noticed that webp image viewing works in Android Studio. But I need it in IntelliJ :(

Idem I need it in Webstorm
This functionality is a part of the Android plug-in which is not available for WebStorm.
You can submit a separate feature request to make it available for other IDEs at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issues/IDEA.
