Find in path does not show up in full screen mode.

Answered

I have updated to the latest version of intellij and I have just noticed that the "Find in Path" window does not show up when in Full Screen mode. It seems that it is being opened, however it is not brought to the foreground. The issue is encountered on Linux Mint, Kernel version 4.10.17.

Does it happen in 2018.1.3 version, 2018.2 EAP available at https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/nextversion/ or in both?

What JDK version is used to run IntelliJ IDEA? Please check in Help | About.

Does it help if you add -Djbre.popupwindow.settype=true in Help | Edit Custom VM Options and restart the IDE?

The following set up is the one in which I am encountering the issue. I have not tried reproducing the issue in 2018.2.

I've tried editing the custom VM options, but the behaviour is the same.

IntelliJ IDEA 2018.1.3 (Ultimate Edition)
JRE: 1.8.0_152-release-1136-b38 amd64
JVM: OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM by JetBrains s.r.o
Linux 4.10.17-041017-generic

Please share idea.log ("Help | Show Log in...") after restarting IDE and reproducing the issue.

btw before hitting the shortcut to try to open the FindInPath window, I waited for the log to calm down. I was seeing  the line before " START StubSerializationManager SHUTDOWN " and hit the shortcut, and nothing happened. the other lines were from IDE quitting. -- So to my eyes there was no log associated with the failure.

Hey.

I'm having the same issue on Ubuntu Mate.

The search window is opening (e.g. on double shift), and one can actually type and go to the file, but the window itself is not visible.

I think it's related to the Mate desktop (the other user probably had Linux Mint with Mate desktop, too), but I can't figure out where to start looking for a solution. The above issue leads to 404. Any pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks!
