My IntelliJ Ultimate version 2019.1 keeps freezing on MacOS

I have the following version installed on my MacOS

IntelliJ IDEA 2019.1 (Ultimate Edition)

macOS 10.13.6

It freezes after 5 minutes or so and I have to force quit it every time.
