Shell Scripts Location cannot be set via Toolbox App

I've noticed the "Create shell scripts option is gone from the tool windows" and according to https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-206235 this is an intentional change. I've tried to setup the automated script generation via the toolbox app but when I do "Toolbox App > Settings > Shell scripts location > Select" the directory chooser opens and upon confirmation also is closed but the location setting is never persisted. Manually entering the path also does not persist the location.
