Windows 10-x64: Can't find WSL 18.04 installation

I am trying to set up a WSL toolchain in CLion 2019.1 build 191.7141.37. My WSL installation is 18.04.2 LTS, and I have run the ubuntu_setup_env.sh script from GitHub. However, I am greeted with this lovely screen when I select the environment type and enter my SSH credentials (username redacted, but matches my WSL username). My ubuntu executable is in C:\Windows\System32\bash.exe, as opposed to the Windows Store distribution of Ubuntu. The bar in the window depicted below where I would normally enter this path is not clickable.
Any thoughts or ideas?

Unfortunately, CLion doesn't work with WSL which was installed not through the Windows Store. We have a related issue in our tracker: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/CPP-13386. Also you can try using workarounds described in the comments.
