Unable to import themes to intelliJ

I downloaded a few themes from the jetbrains website and every time I try to import them I get the message: "Import failed" and it says there are "no color schemes in the chosen file". Does anyone know why this is happening?

Please provide the link to one of the themes you've downloaded from JetBrains web site so that we can reproduce the problem.
https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/12182-jake-s-theme/versions the newest version of this theme is one example.
It's a plug-in theme, it needs to be installed per https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/installing-updating-and-uninstalling-repository-plugins.html .
