Pycharm goes unresponsive when using Jupyter Notebooks
For about 6 months now I have experienced this issue where pycharm will go unresponsive some time after starting up a Jupyter Notebook. The only solution is to restart the IDE, often resulting in lost code and having to rerun time consuming intermediates.
There appears to be some similar problems posted on youtrack (1, 2, 3) but I am unable to log in there to post there because I guess that isn't included in my licences.
I don't really know where to start trying to figure this out, but I have taken spindumps and sampled the hanging processes several times of the months. I can include any of that if someone can tell me what is the relevant information to gather (I looked for guidelines for this on the forum, but could find none).
Thanks so much for any help anyone can provide. This issue has been severely disruptive to my work.

Hi,
You can log in to YouTrack using your JetBrains account (no license required) or sign up.
Please file a new ticket to YouTrack as we investigate the performance issues separately. If you observe a high CPU load, please attach a CPU snapshot (see https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241235-Reporting-performance-problems) along with logs folder zipped from Help | Compress Logs and Show in...
If the files are too big to be attached to the ticket, upload it to our FTP server zipped https://uploads.services.jetbrains.com/ and add the name of the attachment to the description of the ticket so that we can find it among other files on the server.
Hi Sergey!
Thanks so much for your quick response. I've made a ticket on YouTrack. (I swear when I tried to log in there before with my JetBrains account it wouldn't let me and complained about licenses, but it works now!)
Thanks!
