Save projects to desktop folder

I would like to save my projects in a folder on my desktop in windows 10.
However, when I attempt to create a new project and navigate to Project Location by clicking on ellipsis, Desktop does appear as a location.
Is it possible to save to a non-default project location?

There may be some permissions issue with the system not allowing you to save the files on Desktop.

When I attempt to set a default directory in this way I don't see the Desktop location:
It could be some system permissions issue. I can't reproduce it on my Windows 10 installation. It may help if you start IntelliJ IDEA as Administrator.
