after updating to ultimate edition 2020.1.4 64bit windows: cntrl + shift + f12 suddenly stopped working (distraction free mode maximizing the editors)
re-installed 2020.1.3 and not working.
when i try to bind it, it won't recognize when i hit cntrl + shift + f12 to bind, cntrl + shift + f11 does bind though, or plain f12 or cntrl + f12
i'm on windows 7 enterprise 64bit and ran a global keybinding list utility and don't see anything else binding to cntrl + shift + f12. i am using remote desktop as i usually do to connect
thanks

It looks like some other app has registered the same global shortcut.
You can try to trace it: https://stackoverflow.com/a/43645062/104891 .
like i said, i did run a global shorcut utility and nothing was bound to that key combination. i used this utility: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/hot_keys_list.html

another thing, apparently distraction free mode which i bound to, is not what i'm looking for, what is the thing called that i can bind to for maximizing the editors. by default it used to be cntrl+shift+f12. it is what happens when you double click an editor tab, which maximizes the editor windows, minimizing all the other windows.
thanks

Can you bind and use Ctrl+Shift+F12 in any other app?
The action you are looking for: Settings | Keymap | All Actions | Main menu | Window | Active Tool Window | Hide All Windows.
yeah, it this keybinding doesn't seem to work in notepad++ either
i think you are right about it being taken globally by something else, weird that it suddenly happened and that the global keymap tool didn't show it taken
thanks!
