Unable to change colors in Jupyter preview panel?

I'm using a dark theme (Material Theme) and when I'm using Jupyter in PyCharm, the preview mode doesn't inherit the desired color settings. I'm stuck with a dark gray background in the preview mode and there doesn't seem to be a way to change or customize those colors.

It's a known limitation https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-34684 that wasn't addressed yet. Feel free to vote and comment.
I have the same issues in version 2021.1.2 pro edition
can you push this into the pipeline for resolving this ssue?
