Search Bar Size Resetting

My Search and [Search and] Replace bars (CTRL+F, CTRL+R, respectively) reset their size when closed.

When attempting to search for a long string, it will open a scroll bar underneath the string, after resizing the text box to fit the whole string, it will reset to the smaller size after being closed. Is there any way for the search bar to 'remember' the text box size I set it to?

This is a recent issue I've started running into in the last few days. Previously the text box size was considerably larger, so I had never run into the scroll bar before.
