Keyboard shortcut for running the current file

Answered

I'm using the single file execution plugin (https://plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/8352-c-c--single-file-execution ) and it works fine. However, I tend to gather a lot of files in the cmakelists text which make the Configuration drop-down menu extremely long, making it time-consuming to select the current file I'm editing to run it (see this picture)

How can I make/use a keyboard shortcut to select my current file in the configurations dropdown and run it?

There is no way to do that. There are several requests related to organizing configurations in the drop-down, for example, https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/CPP-11867. Feel free to comment or upvote the issues. See https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207241135-How-to-follow-YouTrack-issues-and-receive-notifications if you are not familiar with YouTrack.
