Jupyter notebook not appearing in editor

Hi, I have a pro version of PyCharm. I tried to open an existing ipynb file or starting a new ipynb file and neither worked. When I started a new jupyter notebook from within PyCharm, the file path shows in the top but the editor does not appear to have any file opened. When opening an existing notebook, nothing happens after I did Open... -> select file and Open.
