<ctrl>+<tab> does not trigger the Switcher any more

Answered

Dear all, on the weeked, on my new MacBook Pro M1, <ctrl>+<tab> stopped working for IDEA. I am using Build #IU-213.5744.223, built on November 27, 2021.

<ctrl>+<tab> is working fine in any other application on my Mac. I am also able to trigger the switcher, if I choose an different key in the keymap to trigger the switcher.

Do you know a reason why this happend and who to fix this?

I am not sure. It might be, because I tried to use the IDE setting sync, but faild because of my SSH setup.

For now I just removed all settings for IDE from my account, as documented here https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/directories-used-by-the-ide-to-store-settings-caches-plugins-and-logs.html.

Now it is working as before. So I guess, it might be related to the issue you linked.

This solved it for me: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IJPL-119598/CtrlTab-and-CtrlShiftTab-doesnt-switch-editor-tabs#focus=Change-27-5617046.0-0.pinned
And just in case that link ceases to work, I will quote the relevant reply:

do you have, by chance, enabled option "Support screen readers" in File | Settings | Appearance & Behaviour | Appearance?

It's useful, I disable the option "Support screen readers"  and solve my problem
