Mac M1 keeps switching to rosetta IDEA and Pycharm, extremely slow
Answered
As the title says, I have an M1 MBA running IDEA Ultimate and Pycharm Professional, this will run native arm until the application is closed, and once reopened it will boot using rosetta. I'm using native miniforge python, and homebrew openjdk, both of which are arm compatiable.
Any help would be appreciated thanks :)

Do you use Toolbox?
How do you start the IDE?
No, should I be using toolbox? I've been running from Mac applications
What DMG did you use for the installation?
Please share the logs: Help | Collect Logs and Diagnostic Data.
Wow it hasn't switched to Intel yet but so far it feels soooo much quicker, even from first boot where it claimed to be running natively.
Thanks so much for your help :) maybe there should be a notice somewhere to tell people to use toolbox with m1 because I was completely unaware it existed
EDIT: Previously I was downloading from https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download/#section=mac
I assume it was automatically downloading the intel version
M1 downloads are available at https://www.jetbrains.com/idea/download/index.html. Make sure to choose the correct CPU when downloading.
