You can debug JavaScript using Remote JavaScript Debug configuration. Specify http://myserver.com:9999/project in URL field in run configuration settings, press 'Debug' button and use 'Scripts' tab...

You need to configure mapping from local files to browser urls. Open Settings | Deployment, add a new server and configure mapping on 'Mappings' tab.

Could you please go to Tools -> Add-ons in Firefox and check whether JetBrains Firefox extension is installed or not. If it is installed please tell which version of the extension is shown.

You need to create 'Remote' JavaScript debug configuration instead of 'Local'.

Please reproduce the problem, then use Help | 'Reveal Log' action to open the directory containing the log file and post here idea.log file.
