Hi Eric, Your problem could be probably related with this issue: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/PY-16439. But it has been fixed in PyCharm 2016.1. What PyCharm version do you use?

There were similar issues when PyCharm docker interpreters were used with some old versions of docker server. Could you please check that your docker server version is 1.9.x at least.

If your remote interpreter is SSH based you should try Remote SSH External Tools: https://www.jetbrains.com/help/pycharm/2016.2/remote-ssh-external-tools.html.
