The JVM does not die when the debug parameter is enabled? And those fonts you mention are default jdk fonts. This is getting pretty strange. Perhaps you could leave font debug enabled as a workarou...

No problem, English is not my native language either. I'm glad you seemed to have solved your problems. Apparently Sun has fixed the bug in the jvm too. Hopefully the fix will be in the next minor ...
