Yeah cycling the lock (read-only mode) on the file does hack around it. 7016 just came out and I'll try that one.

Thanks, so it seems that pausing is the reason for the limited debugger information. For some reason I couldn't mark "helpful" or "correct" on some posts I think it is because they are IDEA develop...

It's possible there is also callsite caching issues, but at least in the common case I see, the metaclasses are not getting updated. Let's say I have a method with a closure called in it like .find...
