I see. They are there but just hidden. They aren't visible when you open the file and aren't visible when you edit the file. They just appear when you start hovering your mouse over the file.

This is so irritatitng. I remember now why I have been running 2018.3.1 for the last 2 years. I was forced to upgrade by the company for security reasons and now I have a useless diff dialog again....

Why are you using such old versions? You can download the zip versions and run as many versions alongside each other as you like.

Why does it have a minimize AND a close button if the close button minimizes it and there is no option to make the close button actually close it?
