I had the same issue when I set custom VM option of```-Dide.browser.jcef.out-of-process.enabled=true```Could be something similar.

Thank you Olga Mulina - that was it! I think due to having earlier installed EAP version, my settings were not transferred automatically to the settings folder of the new version.

From what I have checked, restarting the Typescript service takes about the same time. This is probably because `tsc` type checks need to run from scratch in either case because of config change.
