Input lag when using external display
I am having noticeable input lag when using an external display (LG Ultra HD) connected to my macbook pro (mid 2015 model). It looks like PHPStorm's renderengine can't keep up with the scaled resolution. When I turn down scaling the problem does not exist. Also, when I have scaling on but keep my PHPStorm editor small I have no input lag in the editor. Is this expected behaviour or a problem on my side?

Yes, unfortunately Java is not that good with rendering in Ultra HD resolutions.

I am also having this issue. Running on a MacBook Pro. It's sad to see that this issue with rendering performance has been around for more than 2 years still with no fix.

Please reproduce the issue, collect the logs bundle (Help | Compress Logs) and submit it within a support ticket.
