View => External Documentation is grayed out

This thread pointed me in the direction of why

Basically I didn't have the URL set up in my JDK.
When setting up, I just point to my directory and click OK.
Is IDEA able to recognise the JDK version and put in an appropriate URL automatically?

If not, what about a drop down of common URLs on the documentation tab?
