Find - useful if it could be aware of what's in the editor
On a big project there are many matches and usually I want to know first which matches are of the files open in my editor. It would be nice if Find could either:
1. automatically unfold on those occurrences that are from any files in your editor.
2. restrict the find itself to just those files in the editor
Would these enhancements be useful to folks? Something similar?

I think opening the results that are in open folders would be pretty nice. The odds would be pretty good that the real target of my search is part of one of the files that I am already working on. Some are open now, but I have no idea what algorithm it uses.
"Find in Open Files" would be very good.
"Find in Changelist" would be even better.

Those menu options would work or options that filter the results.
I'm happy to submit a feature request but there are 3 ways to do Find in open files. Which one is better and which one is JetBrains most inclined to implement? Vote for the approach you prefer:
A. initial find results tab opens/unfolds matches on open files
B. find occurrences Filter that narrows to only open files
C. find in open files
+1
Was just about to ask for the same thing.
Has it not been implemented yet? Notepad++ has this feature.
Someone also asked this in 2002.....
