Exporting IntelliJ settings to Android Studio while using IDE Settings Sync on Intellij

I need to export my IntelliJ settings so I can import them into Android Studio. According to this post, exporting settings while using *IDE Settings Sync* isn't possible. How can I get Android Studio to use the same settings as my IntelliJ IDE?

Serge Baranov, is there any official workaround from JetBrains?
In that YouTrack issue, there are several "workarounds" from other customers. I would avoid trying them, as they can make things worse.
