Most editors (specifically CLion, PhpStorm, Rider) don't stay where they were placed after I minimize them

I use a widescreen monitor with the editor on one side and the editee (e.g. a website, a program, etc.) on the other and whenever I have to minimize the editor, it forgets where it was placed.

Example: I opened CLion, it started out in this position (left side, with a small gap from the bottom and left)

I then placed it on the right side:

Then I minimized it and opened it back up, and it moved back to the original position:

I'm running on Windows 10 Pro, version 1909 (build 18363.1256) and no other programs have this behaviour.. It also doesn't happen when I click on another window that takes up the whole screen, only when I deliberately minimize it.

Thank you for your time.

I also need to add that this only happens, when I use the "snap to side" feature of Windows (when you pull the window to one of the sides and it fills up half or a quarter of the screen automatically). When I reposition the editor manually, it will then treat that position as it's new base and will return to it from the sides then on.
